Viper Fire A Sperry development for the Army consisting of a target sight device mounted on a pilot's flight helmet which is electronically linked with the airframe to measure sight line angles to position the aircraft's armament. Within limits of the turret's tracking capability, the system, in effect, allows a pilot to acquire his target and train his guns on it by looking at it - without further positioning his aircraft.
